THE ONLY ONES, 2023

PREIS AUF ANFRAGE

For this exhibition I’ve been collecting private material on the streets wherever I’ve been for the last year. Material that is most likely seen as trash but gives insight of the lives of marginal existences. This collection of indications and hints has been burned in tin cups. Traces and information about people that left these findings behind were erased, burned and information dissolved into air as dark smoke. Combined with prints of stolen cars taken from the web a scenery that may provide potential evidence is created.

Nicked images from the web of broken in cars with stolen consoles behind found personal material in tins that were burned to cover up leads towards personal information. These works record alteration of a real world setting through putting different layers of something that can be found in the streets in a sample based, collage like way a feeling of something that got stolen and is lost is evoked.
